Louise and Sam were introduced through friends at high school and have since travelled the world, Europe, South East Asia and South America. I think if a relationship can survive high school and travelling in unfamiliar and challenging places then it is truly unbreakable and has already survived the test of time.

Just spending time around Louise and Sam anyone can see they genuinely share a special connection, they have that spark yet are so relaxed in each other’s presence; calm, settled and grounded.

Sam had fun grooms prep photos, we began the day with coffee and laughs as we followed the boys to brunch at Yum Cha. Louise and her bridesmaids were being pampered at The Sheridan on the Park, Christina Cleary ensured everyone looked flawless and Melissa Hope did a wonderful job with their hair. We nearly took more photos of the girls in their kimonos then in their bridesmaid’s dresses because they were so fun and colourful. One of my favourite moments of the day was when Louise’s father and mother walked and saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. He appeared a little uncomfortable and stayed in the corner right away from all the pink, flowers and girls but as soon as Louise looked up smiled at him he grew immensely proud and kept smiling quietly to himself.

Their ceremony was held at the The Garrison Church a heritage spot rich in history, with grand stain-glass windows and carved sandstone. For their location photos we wandered first around the rocks and finished up in the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens. Louise and Sam’s reception venue was The Pavilion in The Domain (opposite the Art Gallery of NSW), chosen for its lush greenery and relaxed summer vibe. It had large open doors that allowed guests to mingle outside and get plenty of fresh air and views of the city.

Their wedding was a whirlwind of beautiful moments, shy smiles, mischievous groomsmen and heartfelt speeches that moved bridesmaids moved to tears. They are both far too modest and would bust into nervous giggles when anyone commented on how gorgeous and perfect they looked together.

When we asked what their favourite memories from the day was the couple replied “Our favourite memories was the moment after we took photos of the art gallery, it was the first time it had just been the two of us alone together all day. When we were walking back to the reception we were able to stop and share a minute just the two of us, looking at all our family and friends dancing and enjoying themselves. I remember thinking how wonderful the day had been and that everyone was celebrating for us. After drinking it in we burst back into the party in time for Gangnam Style!”

Sam and Louise we were thrilled to be able to photograph your wedding, you were a delight to photograph.
