Perched on a ridge in the Blue Mountains, Seclusions is surrounded by rolling paddocks and sweeping views of Lake Lyell. It was the perfect place for Nadia, a nurse, and Chris, an artist, to bring their vision of a relaxed, rustic celebration to life.
The ceremony unfolded in the open-air amphitheatre, framed by a floral arbor and the soft outline of the mountains in the distance. From the vows, guests wandered over to a retro caravan bar beside the fire pit, the first stop in a day made for connection, conversation, and unhurried moments.
Portraits led us through paddocks shared with highland cattle and alpacas. The animals seemed just as excited as the newlyweds, trotting over at every chance to steal the spotlight and sneak a cheeky bite of Nadia’s bouquet. Later, the couple slipped away to Lake Lyell, where the water lay still as glass, reflecting the pink and gold hues of a breathtaking sunset.
By night, the barn glowed with candlelight. Heartfelt speeches gave way to laughter, tables filled with delicious share plates kept everyone fuelled, and the dance floor came to life. It was an effortlessly perfect country wedding, full of charm, joy, and the kind of moments that linger long after the day is done.
